On June 1^st, 2021, with the theme of “Innovation, Intelligence and Development-Promoting High-quality Development of Civil Aviation”, the 2^nd Civil Aviation Technology Equipment and Service Exposition (Civil Aviation Expo) was held in the National Convention Center in Beijing. In the exposition, the newest achievements in the development of technology, equipment and service of civil aviation airport and air control were put on display. Among the exhibited items are the Yinlong system solution for integration of photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging, Yinlong pure electric vehicles for airport ground service and Yinlong special vehicles for airport, all of which help promote the transition of power source from fuel to electricity for green and intelligent airports.

Building Multi-functional Covered Parking Space in Airport, Power Station for Photovoltaic Power Generation, Energy Storage and Charging

Airports across the country are promoting the transition of power source from “fuel to electricity”, as part of an effort to build a nation of strong civil aviation power and fully implement the three-year action plan of the Administration of Civil Aviation for winning the battle of protecting a blue sky. Through increasing the electrification ratio of the operating vehicles and equipment and upgrading and transforming power systems, airports can reduce emissions of pollutants to improve air quality and build a green airport. With a system solution that is built around LTO technology, Yinlong Energy provides new ways of green energy saving for the airport’s “fuel to electricity” transition and offers new driving force to the development of civil aviation in China.

The Yinlong system solution for integration of photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging at the Yinlong exhibition booth attracted many participants to admire and invited heated discussion. The system integrates photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging into one. By adopting the high-safety Yinlong LTO energy storage system and making use of the open and unobstructed space of the airport, this system solves the need for a power grid within limited land resources and insufficient power capacity for charging stations in the airports. It utilizes renewable energy to increase power capacity and creates a multi-functional covered parking area that integrates “photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging”, which can provide charging service to the electric vehicles operating in the airports. Not long ago, the Yinlong system solution for integration of photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging was selected as the “Best System Solution for Integration of Photovoltaic Power Generation, Energy Storage and Charging in Chinese Energy Storage Industry” in the selection events for “Most Influential in Chinese Energy Storage Industry” awards.

Pure Electric Equipment to Drive Forward Green Economic Development of Civil Aviation Industry 

“The black and white color combination on the ferry bus gives it class and sense of modernness. The one step design allows the bus to be close to the ground, which feels secured and also makes it easy for passengers with luggage to get on and off the bus.” “I took the Yinlong commercial bus in the Capital International Airport in Beijing once, it has a multi-functional executive desk on the bus and has very comfortable seats.” Many participants in the exhibition gave positive comments on Yinlong electric vehicles. According to incomplete statistics, the fuel consumption of special vehicles for airport ground service accounts for approximately 13% of the total energy consumption of airports. Therefore, the transition of power source from “fuel to electricity” for special vehicles for airport ground service is of utmost importance. Yinlong has already introduced two major products of new energy vehicles.

In terms of pure electric vehicles for airport ground service, Yinlong Energy has developed and produced the VIP commercial vehicles, 14-meter passenger ferry bus and airport commuter bus. In 2020, Yinlong commercial vehicles were put into operation in Beijing Capital International Airport and Daxing Airport, helping to build a "green gate" to the world. In terms of special vehicles for airports, Yinlong offers towing vehicles for luggage, sweeper and washer/sweeper vehicles and forklifts. At present, Zhuhai Airport has introduced dozens of Yinlong special vehicles for airports, helping the airports in handling staff ferry, security inspection, flight guarantee, road cleaning and so on. The implementation of the "fuel to electricity" transition is conducive to the civil aviation industry in many ways. Firstly, it promotes energy conservation and emission reduction based on structural changes of the industry. In addition, it increases the momentum for development of civil aviation. More importantly, it enhances the sustainability of the development of civil aviation industry in China.
