In recent days, MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) released the list of the second batch of enterprises that meet “Industrial Standard Conditions for Comprehensive Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Waste Power Battery”. Tianjin Yinlong Energy Co. Ltd was among the enterprises that was listed, establishing demonstrative effect and a leading role as a pioneering new energy enterprise, contributing to the building of an ecological and beautiful homeland.

Highly Recognized for Its Waste Battery Utilization Achievement

To regulate the recycling of power batteries and accommodate to the new development model in the industry, the MIIT released the “Industrial Standard Conditions for Comprehensive Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Waste Power Battery”（ hereafter referred to as Standard Conditions）, which is intended to improve the development level of the industry by establishing the recycling system for waste power battery collection, cascading utilization and resource regeneration. It also aims to form a stricter regulation on the full life cycle of power battery. Integrated utilization refers to the multilevel and multipurpose recycling of waste power battery of new energy vehicles, including cascading utilization and resource regeneration.

In the recently released list of second batch of enterprises, Yinlong falls into the category of “cascading utilization”, which includes the process of testing, sorting, dissembling, and repairing of waste power battery, and reassembling it into cascading products to be used in other fields. That Yinlong Energy was selected as one of the enterprises that meet Standard Conditions shows the recognition of Yinlong Energy in its achievement in power battery cascading utilization.  

Leading a benign industrial development

As shown in the research report by the China Merchants Securities, there will be 530,000 tons of used lithium ion batteries generated by 2022, based on a regular working life of 5 to 8 years of power batteries. At the moment, the domestic market for lithium battery recycling is unregulated, which means some used batteries could go to small production sites. As a leading enterprise in the power battery industry, Yinlong Energy actively responds to the call and come up with the Management Method for Power Battery Tracing and Operation to regulate the management for tracing power batteries of new energy vehicles, complete the recycling network for power batteries, and collect data during the full process from the production, service, recycling, to the utilization of power batteries, shouldering responsibility for resources and the environment during the full life cycle of power batteries. 

With its active participation, regularized operation and scientific practice in the recycling of waste power battery, Yinlong was awarded the national level grading in the “4A Level Evaluation of Extended Responsibility Performance of Power Battery Manufacturer.” At the same time, the self-developed Yinlong LTO battery may have started a new phase for the recycling of power batteries. Experiment data shows that Yinlong LTO battery experienced capacity loss of less than 10% after more than 30000 times of charge and discharge, equaling to more than 30 years of working life.  The wide application of Yinlong LTO battery could delay the peak of waste battery recycling, buying more time for industrial development.

Clear water and green mountains are golden hills and silver mountains. Limited resources should all the more be recycled.
