As reported by the Statistic Information Network of China Bus and authoritative media of the industry, 19,373 units of new energy buses of 7 meters and above were sold in the period between January to July in 2021, of which the sales figure for July is 2619 units. Yinlong new energy buses accounted for 420 units of the July sales figure, ranking the third in the industry. Its sales figure from January to July is 1399 units, ranking the fourth in the industry.

Currently, the industry of new energy vehicles has entered a new stage where development is mainly driven by the market. As proposed in the New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035), during the “14th Five-Year Plan”, the new energy vehicle industry should put its focus on integrating innovation and making breakthroughs in key technology. With the two carbon targets of "carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2060" having been proposed, the development of new energy vehicle industry has come to a pivotal period, in which innovation and quality-improvement becomes an important force for driving the development of new energy vehicle, and a high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry is crucial to reaching “carbon peak” and “carbon neutral”.

With the double carbon targets in the picture, electrifying public buses is the main direction for urban transportation development, which brings forward stricter requirements for the many new energy vehicle enterprises. For example, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued three mandatory standards, ie, Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles, Safety Requirements for Electric Buses and Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles, to further regulate and improve the safety of power batteries,

Safety is one of the most important performance indicators for electric vehicles. Yinlong Energy insists on putting the high-safety LTO technology at the core of its R&D work and has successfully applied this technology on many of its bus series. Statistics showed that the rate of battery-caused accident is zero of all the Yinlong buses that carried Yinlong LTO batteries and that had been sold to the market. It was said by Chen Qingquan, an academia of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, that “after years of practice, Yinlong LTO batteries proved to be the safest battery of all in the lithium battery area at present.”

Upgraded Quality Recognized by National Authority

The CPC Central Committee's Proposal on Formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-term Goals for 2035 points out the importance of testing centers towards technological innovation, and the Proposal also puts forward several requirements for the testing industry, including the commitment to a high-quality development, the emphasis on the core position of technological innovation and the promotion of green development.

At the beginning of 2021, Yinlong Testing Center passed the assessment by the China National Accreditation Service(CNAS) and was awarded CNAS recognized qualification. Test Results within the approved scope of the Testing Center is now recognized by the international community, which provides effective technical guarantee for the R&D, production, quality and performance of products.

With its strengths on quality control and testing, Yinlong successfully obtained qualification of hydrogen fuel cell bus testing, which will help promote the healthy and rapid development of the hydrogen fuel cell bus industry. Early in 2021, several Yinlong hydrogen fuel cell buses in the shape of running horses and dressed in “Chinese red” were put into operation in the bus route of Wuhai, Inner Mongolia. With strong hydrogen-titanium power and super-low temperature resistance down to -40℃, these Yinlong buses will add “leverage” for Yuhai in building a demonstrative city of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

With solid technical strengths, leading position in the industry and favorable foundation of standardization, Yinlong has made significant contribution in the development of industrial standards. Guangdong Pilot Unit for Standardization of New Energy Vehicle Assembly Parts Production, a pilot program undertaken by Yinlong Energy, entered the list of 2021 Pilot Unit for Guangdong Standardization (Demonstration Unit). It was recognized as Engineering Technology Research Center of Guangdong Province and awarded title of “Guangdong Technical Research Center for New Energy Vehicle Safety and Energy Saving Technology” and “Quality technology Award of China Quality Association for Excellent Project for Reliability Management”, all of which help to boost the high-quality development of new energy vehicle. More and more cities are introducing Yinlong new energy buses, including Xiongan, Chongqing, Panzhihua, Benxi, Fuzhou, etc…
